PRINCIPAL'S NOTES:

We are now heading into the End of Level testing window.  These tests are very important on several levels.  1) They provide feedback to students and parents as to a child's progress for the year in the areas of Math, Science and Language Arts.  2) They provide meaningful feedback to teachers as to their success in helping students understand the material and which concepts need greater emphasis in the future. 3) They are the basis upon which the state judges a school.  For these reasons we take these tests seriously and hope students and parents do too.  Over the next several weeks please give added attention to having your child get adequate sleep and a good breakfast in the morning before they come to school.  Research has shown that such can make a real difference in how students perform on tests.  Thanks!  

IMMUNIZATION

If you'd like more information on the Utah State Immunization Requirements for 7th graders please click here.  Parents of 6th graders, it's not too early to take care of this little detail so your child doesn't get caught in the crunch next fall.  Please remember that even though your doctor may say, "we'll update this on the State USIIS System," (Utah Statewide Immunization Information System), we still need word that it's been taken care of so we'll know to look there.  Thanks.

COUGAR CLASSIC 5K RESULTS 

We had a wonderful 5K event thanks to the efforts of Mariam and Mackay Steffensen and the many volunteers who worked along side them.  Kudos to everyone involved, including the over 100 participants.  We also want to extend a special thanks to the many local merchants who gave their support in the way of donations, coupons and gift certificates.  Click here to see the results of this year's race.

FIELD DAY SCHEDULE 

CVMS Field Day is coming up Wednesday, May 22nd.  Thanks to our P.E. teachers who've put it all together.  We ask that students NOT order food from food establishments and have it delivered.  Parents, however, may bring food to the campus.  Click here to check out the schedule.
